About Us

At Moraga Movers the About Us has three active components for adults 55+:

1. Staying connected to dear friends and making new ones,
2. Having fun, and
3. Enriching the community in which we live and love.

First, there is an appealing venue for monthly meetings at Saint Mary’s College, with friends to enjoy drinks, conversation, and a lip-smacking dinner followed by an engaging program. Our monthly dinners at Saint Mary’s College regularly attract 130 attendees or more. (Staying connected to others is essential to our wellbeing.)

Second, in addition to the monthly dinner programs there are opportunities to join sponsored activities, such as bridge, book reviews, and bocce. And then through the Parks & Recreation Department there are daytrips in the On The Go Van to such venues as the Cable Car Museum, Eugene O’Neill’s Tao House, San Francisco Flower Show, and the George Shultz Museum. (We are dedicated to keeping our members moving and having fun!)

Third, through charitable grants Moraga Movers strives to enhance the vitality of the Lamorinda that we all treasure. (With our targeted contributions we are keeping Lamorinda moving.)

History: Moraga Movers, Inc. was originally organized as a non-profit organization with the name of Moraga Hacienda Seniors in March of 1975. Subsequently, in 2007 the name was changed to Moraga Movers, Inc. and the catchphrase Activities for Adults 55+ was adopted.
